Constituting one of the strongest components of the cultural identity of the territory, the popular traditions are the motto for the realization of a number of programs and cultural and tourist activities.
It is at festivals, fairs and pilgrimages that these traditions manifest themselves in all their splendor, displaying, beyond their vast repertoire of music, traditional songs and dances, the richness of the festive and sunday costumes or the humility of the country costumes. Get to know philharmonic bands and folkloric ranches, as well as their exciting performances, recreating uses, customs and traditions of yesteryear!
But there are many other experiences that you can take advantage of when talking about popular traditions:
- discover the myths and legends of the territory and see the places that are associated with it;
- enter local museums and explore their ethnographic collections;
- participate in activities organized by local cultural associations such as old-fashioned fairs, magustos (party where you bake chestnuts) and entrudo (carnival);
