Numerous charters, that gave rise to the same number of pillories, were granted in the Montanhas M\u00e1gicas territory during this period and also during the Early Middle Ages:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Cinf\u00e3es:<\/b> 1st of May 1513;<\/li>\n<li><b>Castelo de Paiva:<\/b> 1st of December 1513;<\/li>\n<li><b>Arouca:<\/b> 20th of December 1513;<\/li>\n<li><b>Vale de Cambra: <\/b>10th of February 1514;<\/li>\n<li><b>Castro Daire:<\/b> 14th of March 1514;<\/li>\n<li><b>S. Pedro do Sul:<\/b> 4th of April 1514;<\/li>\n<li><b>Sever do Vouga:<\/b> 29th of April 1514.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All these charters were given by King Manuel I.
