Porqueiras Waterfall

Landscape Highlights

| Places of Magical Nature

The Porqueiras waterfall is about 15 meters high, framed in the Agualva River Valley, tributary of the Teixeira River, one of the most remote and beautiful places of Freita Mountain. The waterfall got its name from the homonymous village, which was until recently inhabited. The Agualva and Macieiras streams trees mark this abrupt landscape with gaps of more than 600 meters between the top of the Freita and the locality of Berlengas,an ancient town located at the confluence of these water lines.

Access to the point of interest: 1.100m on foot (from the Lomba church); moderate / difficult
