The Sever do Vouga Ecotrail, with 11.155m length, is meant for walking, biking, skating, scooters and skateboarding, in a unique natural setting, where the Vouga river, its picturesque valley and the railway heritage of the former line of the Vouga are the protagonists. From Foz village, the Ecotrail goes north, always next to the Vouga river, traversing forest and agricultural areas. Its trail spans six graceful tunnels; the century-old Ponte do Poço de Santiago, ex-libris of the Sever do Vouga municipality; the building of the former Paradela Station now recovered, offering an attractive eco-café and a pleasant terrace with WC’s, changing rooms and bicycle rental service; and the picturesque way station of Cedrim also recently recovered. Properly signed with vertical and horizontal signs, the Vouga Ecotrail has no steep slopes, rising slightly near Cedrim, and it’s considered a moderate difficult level route.
